Art Deco Wall Panelling Spray Finished In “Book Room Green” Colchester, Essex
Welcome to RG Carpentry & Construction Ltd, we are a carpentry-led business based in Chelmsford and working throughout Essex who specialise in high spec internal carpentry, we can project manage and install all aspects of internal carpentry, including but not limited to, wall panelling, internal doors, room dividers and skirting / architrave.

Project Brief: Create a Luxurious Feeling Art Deco Hallway

As part of a wider project that we were project managing for our clients we were also entrusted with a major influence in the interior design of the property.
We were tasked with creating an Art Deco Themed feature to the Hallway, Stairs and Landing that would continue the styling throughout the house.
Pre Planning: Sourcing Materials
With a very good idea in mind already regarding the styling of the project we sourced some unique Art Deco mouldings.
That would compliment the coving, skirting and architrave we had already supplied, made from solid tulip wood we knew these would be high quality to enable a flawless spray finish
Client Liaison: Presenting Ideas & Working Together
It was also vital we sourced 25mm thick architraves for the doorways that would have the panelling on as this would ensure the 18mm thick skirting would finish perfectly flush.
Once we had sourced the mouldings, we created some colourway options to the client to choose from and ran through our ideas as well a brief on how the method of install would provide the best finish for the sprayer.
Installation: Creating A High End Finish

Install was coordinated to tie in with the installation of the skirting boards to provide a seamless finish, after setting out the panelling to keep margins evenly spaced we setup the laser level and worked from the ground floor, up the staircase and finishing on the landing.
Once all woodwork was installed we handed over to our spraying team to begin prep work before professionally spraying in Little Greene “Book Room Green”

Creating a luxurious and elegant feel to the hallway which keeps the Art Deco theme running throughout the property, we’re sure you will agree it makes you think twice about how important a hallway can be to a home.
